Deal or No Deal - 59595

I saw a promo for Deal or No Deal. I caught a few minutes on TV, actually I got caught when flipping channels. $.99 per vote. For more info, go2 www.nbc.com/dond.

Chat from Love Line - 55463 (LLINE)

I haven't listened to Love Line in a long time. I guess I am not doing late night driving anymore. If you are a fan or not, no matter. What matters is whether or not you are one of those who pays to chat via sms. Not for me, but check out http://www.lovelinemobile.com/ if that's your thing.
The branding is Love Line, but the company actually delivering the service is Neo Network Mobile, US subsidiary of Neo Network which was founded in 2000 in Milan, Italy. Sound more fashionable now? The US website for Neo is http://www.neonetworkmobile.com/.

Funmobile 99621

Someone know if this is a working short code in US. Someone posted it via http://www.usshortcodeswhois.com/3.html, but I got no response to 'help' sent from my Cingular phone?

Yahoo Alerts - 92500

Apparently, Yahoo alerts comes from short code 92500. Sin Hang (http://wirelessdispatch.blogspot.com) told me about it. I sent 'help' to 92500 but received not valid number. So maybe this is one way (MT) only or not available on Cingular. I don't know, but he sent me proof of receiving an alert, so good enough for me.

Text Messaging and Sports - 91553 (WIGGLE)

If you were thinking of a name and a vanity short code to implement a service that posts the latest game score or lets participants in a competition check the weather just before the race, what would you call it. How about calling the company Wiggle Wireless and using vanity code Wiggle (91553)? Check out http://www.wigglewireless.com.

What is 77733

Someone posted 77733 as a short code not on the list. I texted 'help' to 77733 but recieved no reply. I googled 77733 but didn't find anything. Anyone out there know anything about a short code 77733?

Sweet Relief at 50555

I heard about this over at Mobhappy. "The basic idea is that people text “HEAL” to the shortcode 50555, and get a message back confirming they want to donate the $4.99 via their phone bill, and they’re then entered in the “Sweepstakes of Swag”, a drawing for some music memorabilia."
The good question raised is how much goes to carrier and how much trickles down to the musicians who need relief. I don't think the carriers need the relief.
After a little googling, I found out that 50555 belongs to Mobile Accord http://www.mobileaccord.com/.

Scavenger Hunt with McDonalds - 62931

Gamut and McD's are at it again. Gamut and McD's of SoCal brought you the free icecream. Now, it's a treasure hunt in Tulsa/NE Oklahama. So, is this progress? SoCal to Nebraska. Hey, I am just asking. Well, I went to http://www.mobilewhoa.com and registered. I got my first message: "How many calories are in a McDonald's hamburger?" QUICK, SOMEONE COMMENT ON THE BLOG WITH THE ANSWER SO I CAN RESPOND.

And then I asked for the coupon for free fries hashbrowns. I quickly got a message with a weblink in it. I then accepted the file download and now have a coupon good until 5-28-2006. I think it's only good if I get over to Tulsa/NE Oklahama, but it doesn't actually say that. Am I brave enough to try McD's in Northern Virginia?

Daily Devotions - 77297 (PRAYR)

Pat Boone will share daily prayers with you, for the rock bottom price of $9.99. Or as you will see in their press release at http://www.dailydevotionsmobile.com/, this "is only $0.33 cents a day." They also say that "Daily Devotions marks the first release in Hands-On Mobile's long-term strategy to target all market segments with products that speak to consumers' beliefs, passions, hobbies and lifestyles. The Daily Devotions are written and narrated by Pat Boone, a well-respected and recognizable Christian leader and the voice of the Christian Radio Network. Daily Devotions will be available to more than 45 million Christians in the U.S. (Source: MRI Doublebase 2004) with mobile phones. "

Now, I did not know that there are 45 million Christians in the U.S. with mobile phones. Is that a higher penetration rate than with other religious groups?

Another Mobile Marketing Service - 82766 (TCSMM)

The folks at TCS Mobile, tagline "Promotional Marketing Mobilized," were nice enough to find the USShortCodesWhois directory and enter their code in our Contact page http://www.usshortcodeswhois.com/3.html. According to TCS Mobile, they are a "full-service promotional agency providing its clients with a full complement of mobile/wireless marketing services."

They invited me (and everyone else too!) to text 'Info' to 82766 to see it in action. Suddenly, I was playing a mobile marketing trivia quiz. I got the first three questions right and then I got the fourth one wrong. Of course, I then stopped playing. They could have kept me going by being a little nicer than saying "No, 75%." in response to my answer. "No, but pretty close. Wow you are really smart." Anyways I had fun.

OTAir TXTtags - 68247 (OTAIR)

Very nice. I especially like how you can read their News and see how long it took to get their short code provisioned. Short code registered by Common Short Code Administration on 1/12/2006 and last carrier (Verizon) provisioned on 3/13/2006. This is actually pretty quick if you are familar with this experience. On 3/25/2006, "OTAir, a mobile marketing and media firm, announced today the introduction of nationwide, mobile text message marketing products and services for businesses and consumers."

Check'em out at www.otair.com. Of course, you can see in the directory that they are not alone, and there will be more. Good luck to everyone, may the pie be big enough for all.
